ABES presente no IWA World Congress & Exhibition 2022, em Copenhague

O presidente nacional da entidade, Alceu Guérios Bittencourt, integrou a Governing Assembly da IWA, que decidiu, entre outras coisas, a eleição de dois novos vice-presidentes. Marisa Guimarães, coordenadora da CT Regulação, e Karen do Amaral e Gustavo Possetti também participam do evento, que acontece até esta quinta (15), na capital dinamarquesa.

A Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES está participando do IWA World Congress & Exhibition 2022. Com o tema “Água para cidades inteligentes e habitáveis”, o evento promovido pela International Water Association acontece até quinta-feira, 15 de setembro, no Centro de Convenções Bella Center, em Copenhague, Dinamarca. 

No sábado (10), o presidente nacional da Associação, Alceu Guérios Bittencourt, integrou a Governing Assembly da IWA, que decidiu, entre outras coisas, a eleição de dois novos vice-presidentes. Alceu votou pela ABES como Governing Member. Marisa Guimarães, coordenadora da Câmara Temática de Regulação e Tarifa da entidade também participa do congresso.

A ABES Paraná marca presença no evento virtualmente. A vice-presidente Karen do Amaral e o diretor da seção, Gustavo Possetti, que também coordena a Câmara Temática da ABES de Tratamento de Esgotos, integram o grupo especial de pequenos sistemas de água e esgoto (specialist group). Nesta segunda (12), eles fizeram uma proposta para a realização de uma conferência em Curitiba em 2023.

Durante o IWA World Congress & Exhibition 2022 será apresentado um relatório sobre o progresso do setor de água nos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS), com ênfase no ODS6, que é dedicado à água e saneamento. O evento também destacará e explorará a relação entrelaçada da água com todos os 17 ODS globais.
