A Seção foi representada por Miguel Fernández y Fernández e Lucio Bandeira, presidente e ex-presidente, respectivamente.
 
A ABES Seção Rio de Janeiro esteve presente no 12º Encontro de Líderes Representantes do Sistema Confea/Crea e Mútua, que aconteceu em Brasília, no Distrito Federal, entre 28 de fevereiro e 2 de março.

É durante este encontro anual que o Colégio de Entidades Nacionais (CDEN), o Colégio de Presidentes e as Coordenadorias de Câmaras Especializadas definem calendários, planos de trabalho e os coordenadores do ano.

O ex-presidente da Secção Rio de Janeiro e diretor da Nacional, Lúcio Bandeira está como representante da ABES no CDEN e também foi eleito para representar o Colégio na Comissão Organizadora da Semana Oficial da Engenharia e Agronomia (SOEA).

Representando a ABES-Rio no encontro estiveram presentes o presidente Miguel Fernández y Fernández e o ex-presidente da Seção, Lucio Bandeira.
