ABES-RS: programa BRDE PCS alia fomento à economia com ações de preservação ambiental

A última edição em 2015 da Reunião Almoço “Saneamento Ambiental em Foco”, promovida pela ABES-RS, na quarta-feira (16/12), no Hotel Continental, em Porto Alegre, teve como palestrante convidado o diretor de Planejamento do Banco Regional de Desenvolvimento do Extremo Sul (BRDE), Luiz Corrêa Noronha. Ele abordou o tema “Programa BRDE PCS – Produção e Consumo Sustentáveis”, destacando a iniciativa da instituição financeira que busca incentivar a economia, por meio de ações que impliquem paralelamente benefícios sociais e ambientais.

Ao dar as boas-vindas ao palestrante, o presidente da ABES-RS, Alexandre Bugin, destacou a importância desta ação do BRDE, salientando que é mais uma ferramenta importante de apoio à preservação do meio ambiente. Ele também falou sobre o produtivo ano de 2015 que a entidade teve, com a promoção de diversos eventos que buscaram conscientizar a sociedade sobre temas cruciais como o uso racional dos recursos hídricos e a gestão de resíduos sólidos, entre outros.

Luiz Corrêa Noronha pontuou que o Programa BRDE PCS abriga sob o mesmo “guarda-chuva” projetos que mesclem desenvolvimento e sustentabilidade. A medida está dividida em cinco subprogramas: energias limpas e renováveis, uso racional e eficiente da água, gestão de resíduos e reciclagem, agronegócio sustentável, e cidades sustentáveis. “Faltava ao banco uma linha de financiamentos integrada e organizada para apoiar práticas sustentáveis. Para incentivar o desenvolvimento da ideia, o BRDE diminuiu o spread e as tarifas, além de alongar os prazos dos empréstimos”, assinalou o diretor.

As linhas de crédito do BRDE PCS oferecem condições especiais para projetos que abrangem o agronegócio, a indústria, o comércio e os serviços. “O compromisso com a qualidade de vida no presente e no futuro ganha mais força com o uso racional dos recursos naturais e o monitoramento do impacto das ações. São projetos que fazem a diferença para toda a sociedade”, avaliou Luiz Corrêa Noronha.

Segundo ele, futuramente o BRDE poderá tonar-se um repassador de recursos da Agência Francesa de Desenvolvimento para projetos a serem elaborados nessa área. A conversa sobre o assunto já iniciou entre as duas instituições.
