ABES-AL abre inscrições para Prêmio Octávio Brandão de Jornalismo Ambiental

A Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental-Seção Alagoas (ABES-AL), em parceria com o Sindicato dos Jornalistas Profissionais do Estado de Alagoas e com a Braskem, lança, nesta segunda, 18 de abril, o Prêmio Octávio Brandão de Jornalismo Ambiental. Serão contemplados trabalhos jornalísticos que tenham como tema o Meio Ambiente e despertem para a importância da preservação ambiental como condição para uma melhor qualidade de vida. As inscrições vão de 18 de abril até 22 de maio de 2016.

Serão consideradas, nas oito categorias, as matérias, reportagens e fotos que apresentem denúncias e/ou soluções na luta pela melhoria das condições ambientais do Estado e no desenvolvimento de tecnologias associadas às ciências do meio ambiente em Alagoas. São elas: Reportagem Especial; Jornalismo impresso/Texto; Jornalismo impresso/Imagem; Reportagem de TV; Reportagem Cinematográfica; Web jornalismo; Radiojornalismo; Estudante.

Podem participar jornalistas com registro profissional, filiados ao Sindicado dos Jornalistas Profissionais de Alagoas, em dia com suas obrigações associativas, cujos trabalhos tenham sido publicados ou veiculados em mídia do Estado de Alagoas, no período de 30 de maio de 2015 a 22 de maio de 2016.

Segundo Ricardo Vieira, da ABES-AL, idealizador do Prêmio que já está em sua 12ª edição, a premiação visa ampliar a presença de reportagnes ambientais na mídia alagoana, incentivar os profissionais de jornalismo a melhorarem o seu nível de informação sobre a questão ambiental e criar um núcleo de jornalistas ambientais especializados na área para que eles estudem e compreendam melhor a área. “E aproximar a ABES dos jornalistas e da imprensa de modo geral. Apresentá-la como uma organização não-governamental de profissionais que têm condição de funcionar com fontes”, complementa.

Ricardo destaca, também, a importância do homenageado Octávio Brandão, “um jornalista político e ambientalista histórico, que redigiu um livro (“Canais e Lagoas”), que é fundamental para qualquer um que trabalhe na área ambiental, em Maceió. E que permite comparações entre a realidade hoje e o que era um século atrás”, ressalta. No livro, o jornalista chamava atenção para os cuidados que deveriam ser tomados para assegurar a sobrevivência do complexo estuarino Mundaú-Manguaba, entre 1917 e 1918.

Uma comissão formada por profissionais das áreas de Meio Ambiente, Jornalismo e representantes da comunidade, indicados pela Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES/AL e pelo Sindicato dos Jornalistas Profissionais do Estado de Alagoas irão julgar os trabalhos. Para cada categoria, será escolhido um único trabalho como vencedor.

Prêmios:

1° lugar em Reportagem Especial: 6 mil reais e troféu.

1° lugar em Telejornalismo: 4 mil reais e troféu.

1° lugar para as demais categorias: 3 mil reais e troféu.

2° lugar: R$ 2.5 reais e troféu.

3° lugar: R$ 1.5 reais e troféu.

Estudante: R$ 1 mil reais e troféu.

A premiação ocorrerá em solenidade em dia, local e horário a serem previamente divulgados pela Comissão Organizadora.
