Evento virtual aborda os atrasos, desafios e avanços na gestão de resíduos sólidos no Brasil após implantação da lei

Os 10 anos da Política Nacional de Resíduos Sólidos foi assunto do encontro virtual, realizado nesta quinta, 1° de outubro, que apresentou um panorama do tema no Brasil desde a implantação da lei. O evento foi promovido pela ABES Seção Mato Grosso do Sul (ABES-MS), em parceria com a Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS), Universidade Anhanguera Uniderp e Universidade Católica Dom Bosco (UCDB).
Na oportunidade, foram discutidas questões como os desafios e avanços do gerenciamento de resíduos sólidos no País, como planejamento, logística reversa, coleta seletiva, fim dos lixões, financiamento de novos sistemas e a participação das associações e cooperativas de catadores, entre outros pontos.
Estiveram presentes no debate Heliana Kátia Campos, coordenadora da Câmara Temática de Resíduos Sólidos da ABES e vice-presidente da ABES-DF, Marjolly Shinzato, professora na Uniderp, Daniel Obelar, presidente da Cooperativa Coopermaras e da Rede Fortcooper/MS, e Márcio Botto, consultor da CAWST – Center of Affordable Watter and Sanitation Tecnology (Calgary/Canadá). A moderação foi feita por Ariel Ortiz, conselheiro da ABES-MS.
