ABES-ES: 13º Seminário Estadual de Saneamento e Meio Ambiente e I Workshop Nacional de Resíduos Sólidos é adiado para 2023

As inscrições para envio de trabalhos técnicos já estão abertas. Eventos serão realizados no formato híbrido: presencialmente em Vitória/ES, e online. 
 
A Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental Seção Espírito Santo (ABES-ES) prorrogou para 2023 a realização da décima terceira edição do Seminário Estadual sobre Saneamento e Meio Ambiente – SESMA e I Workshop Nacional de Resíduos Sólidos, Com o tema central “Gestão Sustentável do Saneamento”, o XIII SESMA acontecerá nos dias 23 e 24 de agosto, e o WNRS, que abordará “O potencial e as oportunidades de mercado dos resíduos sólidos na economia circular”, será realizado no dia 25 de agosto. Os eventos serão realizados no formato híbrido: presencialmente, em Vitória/ES, e online.

XIII Seminário Estadual sobre Saneamento e Meio Ambiente 
 
A sustentabilidade é um termo que permeia os 17 grandes objetivos da agenda de desenvolvimento sustentável definida pela Organização das Nações Unidas (ONU) com o horizonte de 2030.

O XIII SESMA abordará a gestão sustentável do saneamento, ou seja, apresentaremos possibilidade de aproveitamento de resíduos, novas tecnologias, discutiremos os avanços no reuso de água e as alternativas de novos negócios dentro do setor de saneamento.  Teremos propostas inovadoras para a solução dos desafios da sustentabilidade ambiental e da universalização do saneamento, focando nos seus nos resíduos, o que proporcionará uma integração entre os profissionais, gestores, pesquisadores e empresas envolvidas em inovação no setor de saneamento ambiental.

I Workshop Nacional de Resíduos Sólidos

O consumo cada vez mais acelerado e descontrolado tem levado a altos índices de descarte de materiais pós-consumo e embalagens, que retornam ao meio ambiente como rejeitos, ainda com uma parcela pequena sendo inserida ao mercado produtivo.

A Política Nacional de Resíduos sólidos estabelece alguns instrumentos e objetivos, como a coleta seletiva com a participação de associações/cooperativas de catadores, a participação social, a responsabilidade compartilhada, produção e consumo sustentável, o aumento das taxas de reciclagem e uso mais nobre dos resíduos orgânicos, com redução significativa da parcela de rejeitos que devem ser destinadas para aterros sanitários.

Neste contexto, esse Workshop tem como objetivo difundir boas práticas no gerenciamento dos resíduos sólidos com ênfase no seu potencial econômico e as oportunidades de mercado.
Serão apresentados Cases de empreendimentos na área de resíduos sólidos que têm conseguido se desenvolver no mercado estadual e nacional e que poderão demonstrar com suas experiências os caminhos a serem percorridos para que os resíduos sólidos sejam de fato incluídos na economia circular.
