BWW: Daniel Nolasco, consultor em Água e Saneamento na América Latina e Caribe, integra sessão sobre economia circular

Debate será em torno dos avanços tecnológicos voltados a esta temática e as principais práticas utilizadas em várias partes do mundo.  

Daniel Nolasco, consultor em Água e Saneamento na América Latina e Caribe, será um dos palestrantes da Brazil Water Week 2022 (Semana da Água do Brasil), o mais importante evento internacional sobre água e saneamento do país, que começa nesta segunda, 23 de maio, e vai até sexta (27), online, em plataforma digital exclusiva e interativa.

Realizada pela Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES, esta edição do evento contará com 20 sessões e profissionais de 49 instituições parceiras do Brasil e do exterior e 110 participantes, que compartilharão suas experiências durante 5 dias de programação – que ficarão disponíveis por 90 dias na plataforma. Na ocasião, o palestrante vai falar sobre “O papel da economia circular para promoção das estações sustentáveis de tratamento de esgoto”. O objetivo deste tema na BWW é discutir os avanços tecnológicos voltados a esta temática e as principais práticas utilizadas em várias partes do mundo.

Portal ABES Notícias – Como você vê a contribuição da Brazil Water Week para este momento das discussões sobre água e saneamento no Brasil e no mundo? 

Daniel Nolasco – A BWW é o evento mais importante sobre água e saneamento na América do Sul. Transcende o Brasil e a Região e projeta seus frutos para o mundo: tecnologias, conhecimento, networking, ideias… A contribuição deste evento sempre supera as expectativas dos participantes. 

Portal ABES Notícias – Você vai falar sobre o papel da economia circular para promoção das estações sustentáveis de tratamento de esgoto. De que forma o Brasil poderia se beneficiar das experiências do seu país relacionadas a economia circular?  

Daniel Nolasco – Sim. Mostrarei resultados reais dos conceitos canadenses de otimização promovidos pelo Banco Mundial e implementados nas instalações de recuperação de recursos hídricos da SABESP. Os resultados são impressionantes: redução do CapEx e OpEx ao mesmo tempo em que atende aos requisitos de efluentes. Em resumo, conseguindo mais com menos. 

Portal ABES Notícias – Quais são os principais desafios para termos estações sustentáveis de tratamento de esgoto atualmente?  

Daniel Nolasco – Entender que estas estações não só reduzem a poluição, mas também são fundamentais para recuperar nutrientes, reutilizar água, gerar eletricidade e regenerar os corpos de água receptores. Estamos agora transformando o termo estações de tratamento de águas residuais em instalações de recuperação de recursos hídricos. Vou mostrar como fazer isso maximizando o uso da infraestrutura existente. Em outras palavras, capacitar o primeiro R dos 5Rs ou Economia Circular (Reduzir, Reutilizar, Reciclar, Recuperar e Regenerar).

Daniel Nolasco – Como mencionei, o caso da Sabesp, no qual centenas de milhões de dólares foram economizados ao utilizar conceitos de Economia Circular e práticas de Auditoria de Processos. É o que será mostrado em minha apresentação.
