Integrantes dos Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento da ABES-SP (JPS-SP) participaram, neste sábado, 27 de agosto, da Virada Sustentável. O coordenador do JPS-SP, Thomas Ficarelli, e os integrantes Olivia Gavioli e Thomas Fassi estiveram em duas atividades do evento: as oficinas HackRoça e Energia Fotovoltaica. Na primeira, eles conheceram os hortelões geek, uma exposição de artefatos tecnológicos de produção própria e relacionados à agricultura urbana, como o regador automático para plantas em arduino. Na segunda atividade, os jovens participaram da construção de uma maquete solar com carregador USB.
Thomas Ficarelli ressalta que este tipo de atividade enquadra-se nos interesses do JPS e do saneamento ambiental. “O público da virada é diversificado, mas há um predomínio de jovens entre 15 e 30 anos. A presença dos jovens mostra que há engajamento nesse ideal de sustentabilidade.”
Ele comentou ainda a importância dessas soluções criativas que a Virada Sustentável apresenta. “Algumas das tecnologias apresentadas são caseiras, com uso de materiais simples e que apresentam resultados muito benéficos, como por exemplo, a compostagem de restos orgânicos, de alimentos ou de hortas, que podem ser feitas em pequenos espaços urbanos. Esse é um tema bastante discutido. Outras tecnologias de baixo custo, como por exemplo, o arduíno – sistema de irrigação automático que pode ser usado nas residências em máquinas de lavar roupas -, que reduz o desperdício de água e promove seu uso racional”.
Para ele, participar da oficina foi uma experiência interessante, pois reúne conhecimento, lazer e bem estar. ‘’Foi enriquecedor pela diversidade de frentes que vêm sendo trabalhadas na parte de resíduos sólidos, na alimentação sustentável, no uso de hortas urbanas e a questão do próprio bem estar no meio urbano. Abrange conhecimento e lazer, pois muitas das atividades são realizadas ao ar livre e em parques. Eu vim de bicicleta até a Praça Victor Civita (no nbairro de Pinheiros), vi que muitas pessoas fizeram isso também, o que mostra que a população está adquirindo conhecimento e divertindo-se.”
Olivia Gavioli destaca o interessa do público pelas questões sustentáveis. “Resolvemos vir na Virada Sustentável por conta do tema, para conhecer as novidades trazidas pelo evento. Vimos a questão do reaproveitamento de água para lavagem de roupas, a questão social e percebemos o interesse do público em assuntos de sustentabilidade. Presenciar esse evento foi muito bacana, pois nunca tinha participado da Virada Sustentável. O público é diversificado, abrange profissionais e pessoas que estão interessadas em tudo que é relacionado ao meio ambiente. O JPS também diversifica as atividades e a participação nesse evento é muito válida. Espero que outros participantes tenham interesse em vir, conhecer, vivenciar uma experiência diferente do que vê no dia a dia. O próprio parque apresenta uma área com solo contaminado e tem muita referência positiva.”
Na opinião de Thomas Fassi, a participação permite refletir sobre a relação das pessoas com o meio em que vivem. “é importante que a cidade de São Paulo – com toda sua industrialização – tenha um espaço para mostrar que pode ser sustentável. Foi muito bom ter acesso ao projeto arduíno, que vai ser utilizado na irrigação das plantas e pode utilizar a energia solar. A oficina reúne conhecimento, lazer e alimentação sustentável, biológica e orgânica’’.
Oficina Energia Fotovoltaica
A oficina apresentou ao público como a energia fotovoltaica pode ser utilizada, inclusive, para fazer o sistema elétrico de uma casa. ‘’A impressão foi muito positiva, tivemos uma explicação na oficina que mostrou o passo a passo para fazer uma casa que funcione com energia fotovoltaica. Pegamos um painel de energia solar e fizemos todo o sistema elétrico de uma casa, que foi testado por uma lâmpada para confirmar o seu funcionamento em uma casinha de papelão que foi acesa com o painel. A atividade é trabalhosa, mas conseguimos aprender bastante e é muito mais simples do que imaginávamos’’, afirma Thomas Ficarelli.
O JPS
O Programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento Ambiental da ABES (Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental) surgiu para preencher uma lacuna identificada no mercado pela carência de profissionais qualificados para atuar no setor de saneamento. O JPS é um programa de desenvolvimento contínuo com objetivo de despertar habilidades e lideranças entre os jovens que começam a atuar na área do saneamento ambiental, para satisfazer as necessidades presentes e futuras do setor.
