Mesa de abertura: discussão de alto nível e participação intensa do público

O 1º Simpósio Nacional sobre Dessalinização e Reúso: Viabilizando Alternativas à Escassez Hídrica, realizado nesta quinta-feira, 23 de março, fortalece ainda mais a ABES nas Seções Estaduais, no Nordeste e no Brasil. Esta é a avaliação de Francisco Vieira Paiva, diretor da ABES-CE e diretor nacional da ABES para a Região Nordeste, que representou no encontro o presidente nacional da ABES, Roberval Tavares de Souza. “Tivemos especialistas e um debate de altíssima qualidade, público participativo e cobertura da imprensa. Nossos associados ficam felizes por ver essa atuação forte, a gente ganha ânimo novo”, afirma.

O Simpósio foi realizado pela Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES , em Fortaleza/CE, em parceria com a ABES Seção Ceará e a Câmara Temática Dessalinização e Reúso da ABES e debateu o uso da dessalinização e do reúso, tanto em custo quanto em aplicações, para que sejam opções viáveis na busca de soluções frente s situações de crise hídrica

O encontro é uma das etapas preparatórias para o Congresso ABES Fenasan 2017, o maior encontro de Saneamento Ambiental das Américas, que será promovido em São Paulo de 2 a 6 de outubro (saiba mais aqui).

Francisco Paiva conta que o evento superou as expectativas e frisou a participação ampla do setor, em nível internacional. “As discussões tiveram nível local, regional, nacional e internacional e uma transversalidade em todos os setores do saneamento nas áreas de dessalinização reúso, levando experiências em nivel internacional que podem ser aplicadas na região Nordeste e no Brasil.”

Paiva também ressaltou a receptividade dos entes locais, como a Companhia de Água e Esgoto do Ceará – CAGECE, a Secretaria das Cidades do Governo do Estado do Ceará e a Secretaria do Meio Ambiente do Ceará e a academia, com a presença da Universidade Federal do CEARÁ – UFCE, além da presença de um público formado por profissionais de empresas, técnicos, acadêmicos, pesquisadores e estudantes, muitos deles membros do programa da ABES Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento, o JPS. “O público interagiu com perguntas pertinentes, foi um debate rico. Reunir todos esses níveis de participantes e palestrantes em um só evento demonstra que a ABES está cada vez mais forte!”
