ABES promove em São Paulo road show de lançamento da Rio Water Week

A Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES promoveu nesta terça, 6 de fevereiro, no Conselho Regional de Química, em São Paulo, o primeiro road show de lançamento da Rio Water Week – RWW. O evento internacional, que transformará o Rio de Janeiro na capital mundial da água, será realizado de 26 a 28 de novembro, no Riocentro/RJ.

Na ocasião, o presidente nacional da ABES, Roberval Tavares de Souza, e o vice-presidente nacional da entidade e embaixador da RWW, Carlos Alberto Rosito, apresentaram a iniciativa às organizações do setor.

Roberval Tavares de Souza abriu a apresentação destacando para os presentes a importância da ABES em sua trajetória de 52 anos, como uma das principais entidades do setor de saneamento ambiental do Brasil, e o reconhecimento internacional com parcerias constantes com outras entidades do mundo, o que, segundo ele, norteou a ideia do RWW. “Isso que nos fez pensar em construir este evento de água”, frisou. “Vamos discutir água além do saneamento. Entrar na cadeia produtiva. Buscar parceiros diferenciados, além do que temos no saneamento, como a Coca Cola, a Natura, empresas que estejam um passo à frente da discussão da água. Esse é um grande desafio”, salientou.

O presidente nacional da ABES disse, ainda, que a entidade está fechando parceria com a Organização das Nações Unidas – ONU para o evento. “Estamos trabalhando como os Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável – o ODS 6: “Água para todos até 2030”.

Capital mundial da água

O engenheiro também explicou o porquê da escolha do Rio de Janeiro para sediar o evento. Um projeto de longo prazo, de acordo com ele. A ideia é fazer o encontro a cada dois anos. “A marca Rio de Janeiro no mundo é uma das mais fortes que temos para promover o nosso país. Cidade Maravilhosa, onde, além de promovermos um grande encontro, as pessoas que participarem poderão tornar sua ida também numa versão turística”, frisou.

PNQS 2018

Roberval Tavares anunciou que o Prêmio Nacional da Qualidade Ambiental – PNQS 2018 será realizado junto com a Rio Water Week. “Decidimos que o Seminário Benchmarking e a premiação desse grande produto da ABES, que é o PNQS 2018, será realizado em paralelo com o RWW. Dois grandes eventos, um potencializando o outro. Isso pode trazer ganhos substanciais tanto do lado do RWW quanto do PNQS”, afirmou.

Prêmio Ibero-Americano de Saneamento

Outra novidade, de acordo com Roberval Tavares, é que o Comitê Nacional da Qualidades – CNQA vai lançar, durante a edição 2018 do PNQS, o “Prêmio Ibero-Americano de Saneamento 2019”. “Nada melhor do que um evento internacional para divulgar isso. Vamos ter, com certeza, a presença de muita gente da América Latina”, disse. São esperados entre 1.500 e 2.000 pessoas. “Vai potencializar o público”.

Em sua apresentação, Carlos Alberto Rosito reforçou que a ABES deseja ampliar seu campo de atuação buscando parceiros de nível nacional e internacional. “Foco no objetivo água e esgoto para todos até 2030”, disse, lembrando que o evento é baseado nas Semanas Mundiais da Água de Estocolmo (Suécia) e Cingapura. “Queremos buscar parceiros internacionais para poder manter o evento nos próximos anos”, ressaltou. “Essa é a ideia geral: expandir essa nossa tradição de juntar os apaixonados por esse grande tema da água. Os públicos que imaginamos são aqueles que já fazem parte do nosso objetivo no Brasil, mas agora estendidos além das fronteiras do nosso país”, destacou o engenheiro.

A Rio Water Week reunirá empresas, acadêmicos, especialistas, organizações internacionais e governos para discutir os temas: Água e esgoto para todos até 2030, Governança e planejamento, Gestão Eficiente, Formação e capacitação, Financiamento, Regulação, Monitoramento, Comunicação, Mudanças climáticas e a Água.

Rosito explicou que os temas serão divididos em 20 tópicos com 35 sessões com a participação de mais de 100 parceiros integradas, como governos da Alemanha, Argentina, Canadá, Chile, Coréia do Sul, Espanha, São Paulo, Holanda, Israel, Japão Ucrânia e Estados Unidos; organismos multilaterais (UN WATER, UM GLOBAL, ONU – CAP NET, UNESCO, OMS -OPAS e Conselho Mundial da Água); universidades (Universidade de São Paulo – USP, Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais – UFMG, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro – UFRJ, Universidade da Califórnia – IRVINE); operadoras de água e esgoto, organismos financeiros, entidades de classe e empresas como Coca-Cola Femsa, Petrobras e Ambev, entre outras.

Iniciativa importante

“A ABES está de parabéns dentro dos seus objetivos de buscar juntar o setor em torno da parte técnica, institucional e também de gestão”, felicitou a coordenadora do CNQA – Comitê Nacional da Qualidade ABES, responsável pelo PNQS, Rosana Dias. “O evento vai ser ótimo para um recurso que é escasso não só para o Brasil. Não foi só São Paulo que sofreu com a crise hídrica, vemos Brasília e áreas do próprio Nordeste, além de outros países, como os Estados Unidos, que passam pela mesma crise”, afirmou. “O tema é mais do que atual. A água é o petróleo do século 21. É importante debater o tema. E tem a amplitude que está sendo dada. Não é só água para consumo humano, mas também para insumo, produção”, salientou Rosana, que ressaltou também a questão da gestão. “Um pouco do trabalho do CNQA – instrumentar, trazer práticas e instrumentos para que uma gestão seja eficiente – isso ajuda as empresas na tomada de decisões, nas quais serão canalizados os investimentos, a serem competitivas, a olhar para os temas de sustentabilidade”, explicou. “Esta é mais uma ótima iniciativa da ABES. E temos muito orgulho de fazer parte disso”, completou.

O coordenador da Câmara Temática de Gestão e Controle de Perdas e Eficiência Energética da ABES, Ricardo Röver Machado, que faz parte da coordenação do GT2 do RWW, afirma que esta é uma iniciativa histórica da entidade. “Realmente a integração da nossa associação com entidades de outros países do mundo é um sonho que estamos vendo se realizar”, disse. “Tenho a oportunidade de participar da coordenação de alguns temas e temos visto muito interesse de organizações internacionais, de profissionais qualificados a nível internacional, de somar esforços com os dos nossos profissionais de saneamento. Tenho certeza de que o evento vai ser um sucesso”.

Marcelo Marino, diretor de eventos da Fagga/GL, parceria da ABES na promoção e organização da RWW frisou a singularidade da iniciativa: “É um evento único e pioneiro no Brasil, pois abrange todos os temas relacionados à água. O grande foco do evento é trabalhar todo esse conteúdo. A internacionalização é de suma importância para o mercado brasileiro. Temos expositores/parceiros chaves que têm uma oportunidade de fazer negócios e mostrar soluções, seja na prestação de serviços ou venda de equipamentos. A Rio Water Week é um evento que já nasce consolidado”, concluiu.

Os próximos road shows serão realizados em março, em Brasília, e em abril, no Rio de Janeiro.
