ABES presente em seminário sobre responsabilidade socioambiental

Roberval na abertura do Seminário

O presidente nacional da ABES, Roberval Tavares de Souza, participou, nos dias 5 e 6 de dezembro, em Recife/PE, do I Seminário Nacional de Educação e Responsabilidade Socioambiental das Empresas de Saneamento. O encontro foi promovido pela Compesa e pela Sanepar, no Centro Administrativo Governador Eduardo Campos, com apoio institucional da ABES e da Aesbe – Associação Brasileira das Empresas Estaduais de Saneamento.

Nenhuma empresa pública ou privada pode fugir hoje dos valores da sustentabilidade. Baseada nesta premissa, o encontro promoveu a mobilização e a integração das empresas de saneamento para refletir e discutir educação e responsabilidade socioambiental no âmbito da política de saneamento e da gestão empresarial, considerando temáticas que dialogam com as metodologias dos trabalhos e os desafios regionais e nacionais, culminando com a elaboração de um documento de referência que possa nortear ações futuras para o setor.

A partir do estímulo à reflexão crítica e situacional das metodologias de trabalhos socioambientais aplicadas nos serviços, investimentos e obras de saneamento, os participantes puderam vislumbrar perspectivas e direcionamentos para as práticas de educação e responsabilidade socioambiental, observando marcos regulatórios, temáticas transversais, conceitos atuais e experiências vivenciadas pelas empresas.

O evento teve a presença de mais de 200 colaboradores das empresas de saneamento. “Houve uma discussão forte sobre as questões relacionadas à responsabilidade socioambiental e a ABES esteve presente com vários representantes, especialmente da ABES-PE, com o presidente da Seção, Sérgio Santos, e com a Bárbara Cavalcanti, e pode contribuir com um tema importante para conseguirmos a universalização dos  serviços em nosso país”, ressalta o presidente nacional da ABES, roberval Tavares de Souza.
