ABES-SP e AIDIS reúnem especialistas internacionais em encontro técnico sobre compostagem em escala industrial

A Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – Seção São Paulo (ABES-SP) e a Associação Interamericana de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental (AIDIS) promoveram, entre os dias 06 e 07 de outubro, o 15º Encontro Técnico de Alto Nível: Compostagem em Escala Industrial. O evento foi realizado no Auditório do Instituto Agronômico de Campinas (IAC), em Campinas, interior de São Paulo, e faz parte de uma série de encontros técnicos, que a AIDIS vem promovendo desde 2010, abordando temas atuais e de grande interesse ambiental.

A 15ª edição dos encontros reuniu nomes importantes do setor, incluindo representantes da Áustria, Colômbia e Estados Unidos, para debaterem técnicas e inovações mundiais para a Compostagem em escala industrial.

thomas-2Na ocasião, a ABES-SP foi representada pelo geógrafo Thomas Ficarelli, coordenador do programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento da Seção São Paulo (JPS-SP), que falou sobre a relevância do tema para os jovens que desejam atuar no setor. “Muitas vezes surgem-se demandas por soluções que a médio prazo e que resultam em geração de empregos e nichos de empreendedorismo, onde jovens podem se tornar protagonistas nessas frentes.”

Thomas ainda ressaltou a importância de estender a discussão a representantes de várias nacionalidades. “Achei muito interessante o fato do convite à palestra ter sido estendido a representantes dos Estados Unidos, Colômbia e Áustria, para conscientizar os presentes sobre os vários contextos em que o manejo e encaminhamento de resíduos orgânicos pode ocorrer e possibilidades de soluções, bem como os exemplos já apontados no Brasil. A mobilização de diferentes instituições nesse evento, dos setores público e privado, já demonstra boa articulação e temos a grande missão de estendê-la aos cidadãos e localidades de todo o país.”

campaniDa ABES também participou Darci Barnech Campani, associado da ABES-RS e diretor de Resíduos Sólidos da DIRSA/AIDIS. Ele coordenou nna quinta-feira, dia 6, painel sobre a compostagem em escala industrial na Europa.
