ABES Conecta – Série Eventos Extremos: segundo webinar aborda ocupação urbana irregular

Encontros são organizados pela ABES, por meio da Câmara Temática de Meio Ambiente.

O segundo webinar da série Eventos Extremos abordou o tema “Ocupação Urbana Irregular” na manhã desta quinta-feira, 23 de junho. Os encontros são organizados pela Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES, por meio da Câmara Temática de Meio Ambiente. 

O debate foi moderado por Maria Lúcia Coelho, diretora nacional da ABES. Os convidados foram Miguel Alvarenga Fernández y Fernández, presidente da ABES-RJ; Daniele Pereira Batista Amaral, engenheira civil do Serviço de Risco de Inundações e Segurança de Barragem; e Glaucia Silva, ADM e moradora próxima de várias comunidades. 

Na ocasião, Miguel Fernández apresentou o caso do temporal que atingiu Petrópolis, na Região Serrana do Rio de Janeiro, provocando alagamentos e deslizamentos. Em seguida, abordou o conceito de “(des)ordenamento urbano” e  falou sobre uso do solo e sistemas de drenagem e manejo de águas pluviais. 

Projetos para a mitigação de risco de inundações e estudos técnicos ambientais para a regularização fundiária em Áreas de Preservação Permanente de rios foi o tema abordado por Daniele Pereira.

Por fim, Glaucia Silva mostrou sua visão sobre o tema sob a perspectiva de uma moradora próxima de comunidades. A participante abordou a relação do saneamento com Educação, Saúde e Habitação, contextualizando com a vivência local.
