Segundo evento da Plataforma Brasil Portugal de Saneamento Ambiental, iniciativa que visa à troca experiências e conhecimentos do setor entre os países, foi realizado na tarde desta quarta-feira (19).
A parceria entre o Brasil e Portugal no setor de Saneamento resultou em mais um fruto. A Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES e a Associação Portuguesa de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – APESB realizaram juntas um webinar sobre o valor das Estações de Tratamento de Águas Residuárias Domésticas no Contexto da Economia Circular. A iniciativa tem como finalidade a troca experiências e conhecimentos do setor entre os países.

O encontro desta quarta-feira teve como moderador António Albuquerque, professor associado do Departamento de Engenharia Civil e Arquitetura da Universidade da Beira Interior, de Portugal. Os palestrantes foram Gustavo Possetti, gerente de pesquisa e inovação da Companhia de Saneamento do Paraná (Sanepar) e coordenador da Câmara Temática de Tratamento de Esgotos da ABES, e Pedro Álvaro, diretor de Operação da Águas do Tejo Atlântico, do Grupo AdP.
Na ocasião, Pedro Álvaro falou sobre o valor das Estações de Tratamento de Águas Residuais (ETAR) no contexto da economia circular, por meio da apresentação do projeto Fábrica de Água, do Tejo Atlântico, em Portugal, que consiste em reciclar as águas residuais tratadas.
Em seguida, Gustavo Possetti discorreu sobre as estações sustentáveis de tratamento de esgoto como uma transição inovadora no setor de saneamento do Brasil. Neste contexto, o palestrante trouxe um panorama do sistema de esgotamento sanitário no país e detalhou como transformar uma Estação de Tratamento de Esgoto (ETE) convencional em uma ETE sustentável.
Ao final, os palestrantes trocaram experiências do Brasil e de Portugal sobre as estações de tratamento de esgoto e de águas residuárias domésticas, considerando o conceito de economia circular.
