Com grande público, Espaço Startup ABES 2.0 na Rio Water Week premia projetos inovadores para o saneamento. Conheça os vencedores

Iniciativa voltada para a inovação é realizada no evento internacional da ABES no Rio de Janeiro e recebe as presenças de Roberval Tavares de Souza, presidente da ABES, e Karla Bertocco, presidente da Sabesp, em cerimônia de premiação

Reconhecer novas ideias com potencial transformador para o saneamento: este foi um dos objetivos do Espaço Startup ABES 2.0, realizado durante o evento internacional Rio Water Week, entre os dias 26 a 28 de novembro, no Rio de Janeiro, promovido pela Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES. O desafio, que reuniu projetos inovadores voltados para o Saneamento Ambiental e o Meio Ambiente, atraiu grande interesse do público e fomentou a discussão na busca de um novo olhar para o setor com soluções criativas.

No espaço ocorreram palestras com especialistas da área e apresentações de projetos em formato Pitch, com cinco minutos cada exibição. No último dia, foram premiadas três ideias. Foram elas: “Mosaic Sensors Corporation”, de Gaspard Dueriex, vencedor do primeiro lugar. A segunda colocação foi para o projeto “Plataforma Chatbot para Saneamento”, de Moisés Simões e Jonathan Moura. Em terceiro lugar ficou o projeto “Medidor de Caixa de Água para avaliar consumo/desperdício de vazamentos”, de Marcelo Balisteri e Paulo Dantas. Os vencedores receberão prêmios nos valores de R$ 5 mil, R$ 2 mil e R$ 1 mil, respectivamente.

Pierre Siqueira, Conselheiro da ABES e responsável por Inovações Abertas e Startups, deu mais detalhes sobre as mudanças realizadas na segunda edição do Espaço Startup: “Resolvemos dar uma remodelada e fizemos um modelo que achei muito legal, que foi fazer um primeiro dia de mentoring com as empresas, dar dicas e no outro dia fazer a batalha”, disse. Silvio Rocha, Coordenador do Espaço Startup ABES 2.0,salientou a chance dada aos jovens empreendedores interessados em inovar no saneamento. “Aqui no Rio foi diferente com algumas Startups ainda tentando entender até mesmo o que é o seu próprio produto. Nesse sentido, acho rico porque a ABES com o espaço da Rio Water Week deu uma grande oportunidade para essas pessoas em um evento grandioso.!

A cerimônia de anúncio dos finalistas contou com a “Mesa Redonda de Inovações Abertas em Saneamento”, com participações de Roberval Tavares de Souza, presidente nacional da ABES, e Karla Bertocco Trindade, presidente da Sabesp.

Roberval destacou a parceria firmada com a Sabesp, que desenvolveu iniciativa semelhante, chamada Pitch Sabesp, e reforçou a necessidade de mais espaços como esses para ampliar as propostas eficazes para os serviços de saneamento.

“Tem muita gente empenhada e querendo envolver isso. O grande ponto que a ABES discute aqui é de trazer ideias inovadoras e especiais para que a gente possa vencer esse grande desafio de universalizar o saneamento no Brasil e gerar mais eficiência no setor”, reitera.

Karla Bertocco durante sua apresentação, disse que ainda enxerga o saneamento atrasado em relação às novas tecnologias, comparado a outros segmentos. Por isso, vê a necessidade de buscar soluções criativas e baratas, diante da escassez de dinheiro, para melhorar o setor, um dos pontos principais abordados no Pitch Sabesp.

“Eu não vejo como a gente possa cobrir o déficit de atendimento de água e coleta de esgoto sem contar com uma inovação radical”, opina Karla, que acrescenta: “A gente não tem dinheiro suficiente e ninguém está a fim de esperar mais 10, 20 anos até chegar em patamares civilizados”, completa.

Mais do que uma competição, o Espaço Startup ABES 2.0 contribuiu para que projetos inovadores fossem apresentados, promovendo um grande encontro entre os participantes, profissionais e equipes de startups.

Confira o depoimento dos vencedores da 2ª edição do Espaço Startup ABES 2.0:

“Foi um prazer muito grande, eu nunca tinha dado palestra antes, então muito possivelmente foi um dos maiores, senão o maior prazer da minha carreira profissional até agora. Gostei muito mesmo da oportunidade de entrar no mercado de forma geral, a nossa empresa vai continuar na PUC, não vai a lugar nenhum. Acho que o maior prêmio não foram os mil reais, mas a possibilidade de apresentar nosso trabalho. Eu já dei meu cartão para muita gente aqui e grande mesmo é a perspectiva de crescimento da nossa empresa e reconhecimento do trabalho que a gente vem implementando na PUC, que já incrementou bastante”, enaltece Paulo Dantas, terceiro lugar, projeto Medidor de Caixa de Água para avaliar consumo/desperdício de vazamentos.

“Primeiramente, quero agradecer ao Espaço Startup pela oportunidade. A gente sabe que as startups são empresas que tem um problema real para ser resolvido, a startup precisa de oportunidade, parceria e financiamento e acredito que um espaço como esse só tem a colaborar para que isso possa acontecer. É sempre bom porque esses players do mercado estão aí, dando a sua visão e reconhecendo que existem problemas no setor de saneamento e que precisam de ajuda das startups, que consigam acelerar as soluções em forma de parceria”, expressa Jonathan Moura, segundo lugar, projeto Plataforma Chatbot para Saneamento.

“Foi muito lindo, superfeliz de ter mais potencial de ficar no Brasil para implementar meu projeto de verdade e ser premiado, é muito legal. (…) É a concretização de um caminho de empreendedor que é difícil, faz três anos que a gente está trabalhando nisso e ganhamos o prêmio agora. Seguindo nessa direção está dando certo, então confirmar e sustentar o projeto é muito legal”, agradece Gaspard Durieux, primeiro lugar, projeto Mosaic Sensors Corporation.
